We are delighted to announce that three members of our solicitor estate agency team have successfully graduated from the SPC Property Practice Certification program, accredited by the Law Society of Scotland and created and delivered by ESPC.
Janette Dillon, Emily Barclay (both of Macleod and MacCallum) and Lisa Simpson (of Middleton Ross) passed the accreditation in December with the graduation ceremony taking place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the Law Society of Scotland's offices on Morrison Street, Edinburgh.
This pioneering qualification, developed by ESPC in collaboration with the Law Society of Scotland and the Edinburgh Conveyancers Forum, is the first of its kind in the UK. Designed specifically for solicitor estate agents, the program equips participants with comprehensive knowledge in areas such as Estate Agency, Marketing, Conveyancing for Non- Conveyancers, Legal and Property Law, Building Construction, and Ethics. The aim is to prepare solicitor estate agents for upcoming UK-wide estate agency regulations while elevating standards of service and expertise across the industry.
The 2024 cohort included 43 students with an 100% pass rate, this remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication of the graduates and the high-quality training delivered by expert chartered surveyors, lawyers, and solicitors. Our team's accomplishment underscores our commitment to excellence in property services.
By obtaining this certification, our graduates join a growing network of highly skilled professionals dedicated to delivering unparalleled knowledge, care, and expertise to clients.
Bernadette Reynolds, Manager at HSPC, remarked: "This is a fantastic achievement, and we are absolutely delighted for our graduates. Their hard work and determination to excel in this program highlight the dedication and professionalism that sets HSPC solicitor estate agents apart. This certification reinforces the trust our clients can place in us, ensuring they receive expert advice and outstanding service every step of the way."
