About Shieldaig
Shieldaig is a small village set amongst the beautiful coastal landscape of western Ross and Cromarty. The village was reportedly founded in 1800 with a view to training seamen for the wars with Napoleon’s France. The stunning mountains of Torridon are a few miles to the east and the village is a popular tourist destination. Inverness is roughly 1 hour 30 minutes drive east (via the A832 and A835).
