Mallaig is a port village in a scenic location on the west coast of the Lochaber area. It is a popular tourist destination with a variety of restaurants and cafes, it is also the terminal station for the Mallaig to Fort William Railway line, one of the most famous and beautiful routes in the world. It is also an important ferry port with links to The Isle of Skye, and Canna, Rum, Eigg and Muck. Fort William is roughly an hour’s drive east (via the A830).
