Fort William is a town (population approx 10,000) on the scenic west coast of the Lochaber area overlooking Loch Linnhe. The town is close to Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Britain, making it popular with hillwalkers and climbers. It also hosts the annual Fort William Mountain Festival, and UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, and is close to the Nevis Range Mountain Resort allowing skiing and snowboarding in the winter. Aside from the great range of outdoor activities which can be accessed from the town, ‘The Outdoor Capital of The UK’, it also has a range of other attractions and a variety pubs and restaurants.
