Ballindalloch is a small village on the River Spey. It is known for the 15th century Ballindalloch Castle. The Glenfarclas whisky distillery, one of the first Scottish distilleries to open a visitor centre in 1973, is also situated in the village. Elgin is a 30 minute drive north (via the A95 and A941), while Aviemore is 30 minutes south (via the A95).
